Own transport:
From Porto, take the A1 until Lisbon.

From Lisbon, take the Vasco da Gama Bridge or the 25 de Abril Bridge and follow the A2 to Beja, passing through Ferreira do Alentejo (IP8 and N121). In Beja, take the IP2 and turn left at the crossroads to Mértola / Vila Real de St. António (N122).

From Faro, follow the Via do Infante towards Vila Real de Sto António, exit at Castro Marim and turn left towards Beja / Mértola, go straight on until Mértola.

Public transport:
There is a train station in the city of Beja (about 50 km from Mértola), and you can make the connection with the bus station to Mértola.
